I havent posted in a bit, been so busy with the house and the remodel, its all i think about....trying to plan new furniture i want and what color of fabric...etc.....i will post pics when it is all done!

So I have never ever worn red, white, and blue together because I was afraid I would look like a flag, but I think it's really pretty! I think it works because I have a solid and different types of patterns to give more dimension. Anyway, my husband gets back from a work trip tonight so I am very happy!!

Did you ever have one of those days where a grey cloud seems to be hovering over everyone around you? Today was one of those days filled with all sorts of drama, and I am very thankful that the cloud never found me.

The weather was beautiful today and I had a great time visiting with my family! I picked up my grandmother's dining table and some of her old cookbooks. I cant wait till the house is done and everything is in order. Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

monday

what a day, as monday's usually go. had the worst headache all afternoon but am feeling much better

now! this outfit is super comfy, and the skirt has pockets, and of course, i found it at goodwill!

power colors

i love this green skirt i found at the thrift store, i have so many options of what to wear it with.  i have a feeling i will be wearing it alot this fall!! i think i need a gold sweater to go with it.

my favorite things

How cute are my new shoes? I love them!! I ordered them from alloy.com. I also, love this old perfume bottle that I found at an estate sale. I have so much fun taking pictures of cute little things. I am excited for the Fall because thats when I really go crazy for photography. I use to think it was wierd that I only am creative in the Fall, but I have been reading a book (the art of being you)  that says it is perfectly normal to have a seasonal talent and to think of it like a seed that cultivates for a time and then only blooms when it has reached maturity.

my closet

I am very lucky to have my own room for a closet. We had been using it for exercise equipment but it is much better as storage for all my treasures now, i also sell clothes on ebay, so i really needed storage for that too. I love having everything I own(mostly) hanging up instead of folded away in a drawer. It makes it so much easier to pick out outfits and plan what I am going to wear. I have an obession with skirts as you can tell, i really love pleated skirts right now, they look so pretty blowing in the breeze!
